Moving to Thailand

Life in Europe as a marine biologist meant constant travel for research grants, conference presentations, and very little time actually spent in the water. Ironically, the ocean became more of a subject than an experience.

Everything changed when I decided to move to Krabi. I discovered https://thailand-real.estate/
 and chose a small villa close to the coast, surrounded by limestone cliffs and mangroves. From there, I began working with local conservation groups, focusing on coral reef restoration and sustainable tourism.

Now, I spend my mornings diving with research teams and my afternoons writing scientific papers from a terrace with a sea view. It's a career shift that feels closer to the essence of why I became a scientist in the first place.
